Northwestern Lake Riding Stable’s Cancellation / Refund policy is designed to discourage last minute cancellations that would cause inconvenience to customers, or create a loss for the stables. The cancellation fee will only be charged if we are unable to fill your spot on the ride. Many times customers are put on waiting lists for rides, and our staff invest a great deal of time and care into getting the horses saddled and ready to ride. Last minute cancellations make it impossible for customers on the waiting list to arrive in time for the ride, the time the staff has invested into getting the horses ready has been lost, and the revenue for the ride is lost. All reservations need to be made with a credit card. For groups of 1-5 people, changes or cancellations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance. For groups of 6 or more, changes or cancellations need to be made at least 72 hours in advance. If changes or cancellations are made within the 72 hour or 24 hour time frames, a cancellation fee will be charged.
We request that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled ride time. This is to allow for time to fill out paperwork and get everyone mounted on the horses. Rides generally go out after the last ride has come in, i.e. the next ride cannot go out until the prior ride has returned, so a delay in one ride will delay every ride for the rest of the day. If you arrive more than 5 minutes after your scheduled ride time, rather than inconvenience the customers for the rest of the day, your ride will leave without you and we will attempt to reschedule your group on the next available ride. If you are late, and we are not able to fill your spot, you will be charged for the ride. Please call if you’re going to be late, we will wait for you if possible.
