Horseback Riding

2008 Season Rates, by Reservation
We are generally open for trail rides from March 1st through November 1st. All trail rides are "Weather Permitting", please call if you are going to be in the area before March 1st or after November 1st, if the weather permits we would love to take you out riding. Your safety is our first concern, in the early spring some trails may be closed due to wet or muddy conditions.

Creek Ride Private Ride………………….$80 per person per hour
When you would like to enjoy the scenic Columbia Gorge with that someone special, or if you are an experienced rider who would like the opportunity to go a little faster, the private ride is what you’re looking for. Your guide will take only your group on the ride of your choice.

Creek Ride Creek Ride………………$40 per person
Enjoy a beautiful, cool creek ride, with lots of vegetation and plenty of excitement. This ride is mostly shaded, with some gentle hills, and two creek crossings. During the late summer and fall, you can reach right off the back of your horse and pluck off some ripe, juicy, wild blackberries to eat on the way. We recommend this trail for our younger riders. It takes approximately one hour.

Creek Ride Autumn Twilight Ride………………$40 per person
Experience the explosion of color that nature offers in the Columbia Gorge from the back of a horse. The leaves are changing and the best time to enjoy them is after the heat of the day. We offer the Autumn Twilight Ride from September 15th through November 1st, and we get back to the stables just as the sun is going down. This ride takes approximately one hour.

Creek Ride Horse Camp Ride………………$80 per person
Journey through the foothills of the Columbia River Gorge. See a creek, steep hillsides, and the shaded canyon. Then up to Horse Camp for a short break with a view of Mt. Hood. This is our most popular ride, it offers many different examples of the local ecology, and is just the right length if you haven’t ridden in a while. Also, this trail offers the opportunity to trot or run, depending on experience. Your guide will observe the comfort level of all the riders in the group, and determine the appropriate pace. It is a great choice for riders of all experience levels. It takes approximately two hours.

Waterfall Ride Waterfall Ride……………$120 per person
Follow the Horse Camp trail, go through the creek, and experience the breathtaking views of the Columbia Gorge. Keep going up and take a break at the waterfall. Bring some snacks, and if you think you can brave the 45 degree water, feel free to bring your swimsuit! This ride takes approximately three hours, and is not recommended for young children, and those who have never ridden. A less strenuous alternative is available for children or beginners who want to ride for three hours.

Waterfall Ride Wrangler Ride……………$160 per person
If you really love horseback riding, and are up to the challenge, the Wrangler Ride is the choice for you! This ride combines the Waterfall Ride and the Creek Ride. This is the ultimate combination; you get the shady beauty of the Creek Ride, the views of the Horse Camp trail, and the majesty of the Waterfall Ride. Again, this ride is not recommended for children or beginners, only those with tough behinds will be comfortable the next day after approximately four hours of riding.
