From Portland area: Take I-84 East to Exit 64. Cross the Columbia River at the Hood River Toll Bridge ($0.75). Proceed West on Highway 14 for 1 mile along the Washington side of the Columbia River until you reach State Route ALT 141. (Note the signs to Trout Lake) Turn right onto ALT 141 and proceed 2 miles. Turn left at the Stop sign on 141 North and proceed about 2 miles. Look for the yellow diamond traffic sign that shows an intersecting road on the left. Turn left onto Northwestern Lake Rd. Proceed 1/2 mile and cross the White Salmon River. Turn left onto Lake View Rd. and follow 2 miles. Bear right when you get to the fork in the road at the mailboxes, follow for ½ mile, and you are here.
